We are an Allergy Aware Campus:
Allergy Aware Campus
Plato Academy Tarpon Springs is an Allergy Aware campus. We have students on campus who, when they come in contact with their food allergen, may have a severe and possibly life-threatening reaction. We care very deeply for the physical safety of each and every one of our students, and we believe that our Plato community also cares very deeply for the physical safety of other students, friends, and families. When you follow our recommendation to not bring these food items on campus for snack, lunch, or celebrations, you help reduce any risk our students with severe allergies have of coming into contact with these food items and having a severe and possibly life-threatening reaction. Plato Tarpon continues to strongly encourage and highly recommend that peanut butter, nuts, and tree nuts not be brought on campus as a snack or lunch. We also recommend you communicate directly with your classroom teacher when planning food items being brought in for celebrations, to help reduce any risk our students with severe allergies have of coming into contact with these food items and having a severe and possibly life-threatening reaction.
